Changing or closing a company, in 30 seconds
Why an expired licence is not a closed company, and the order every change follows.
Read the transcript
Letting your licence expire doesn't close your company. Fines keep running. Owners can face immigration issues long after trading stops. Every change follows an order. Licence, immigration, registers, then bank. We map every step in writing, then file it in that order. Change it, grow it, or close it properly.. Book a free call, or message us on WhatsApp.
Order matters
Changes that go wrong when steps are out of order
A change to your company touches the licence, the immigration file, the bank and sometimes visas. Out of order, each one can block the next.
- Share transfers
Ownership changed, records not
If the licence changes but the UBO register, bank mandate and immigration file do not, the company is out of step with itself.
- New activities
An activity that needs approval
Some activities need a regulator’s approval before they can be added, which changes the timeline.
- Closing down
A licence left to lapse
A licence left to expire instead of being cancelled can leave owners exposed to fines and immigration issues long after trading stops.

Corporate services FAQs
Before you decide
Anything else? Ask on WhatsApp and the person who handles corporate changes will answer.
How long does a share transfer take in Dubai?
It depends on the authority and whether the parties sign in person or by power of attorney. Free zone transfers are often quicker than mainland ones. We give you a timeline before we start.
Can I close my company while I am outside the UAE?
Often yes, with a power of attorney, once visas are cancelled and liabilities are settled. We tell you exactly which steps need you.
What do corporate secretarial services include?
Maintaining the company’s statutory registers, preparing resolutions and minutes, and keeping records ready for banks, auditors and authorities.
Can you open a corporate bank account for us?
We prepare a complete application file and introduce it to banks suited to your activity. The bank makes the decision, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Why liquidate instead of letting the licence expire?
An expired licence does not close the company. Fines can keep accruing and owners can face immigration and legal issues later. Formal liquidation ends it cleanly.
