The situation

Bookkeeping stopped being optional the moment corporate tax arrived

For years a UAE company could run on a bank account and a folder of invoices. That ended when corporate tax made the accounting record the basis of a return that has to be defended.

The practical consequence is that the quality of your bookkeeping now determines the cost and the risk of everything downstream — the VAT return, the corporate tax computation, the audit, and the bank's annual review.

What Aizaa does

We keep the books monthly, reconcile every account to the bank, produce management accounts you can actually read, and hand the same ledger straight into your VAT and corporate tax work rather than rebuilding it at year end.

Not sure where you stand? Ask us — a 15-minute call usually settles it.

What’s included

  • Monthly transaction recording and classification
  • Bank, card and payment-platform reconciliation every month
  • Accounts receivable and payable ledgers with ageing
  • Monthly or quarterly management accounts with commentary
  • VAT-ready output aligned to your tax periods
  • Corporate tax-ready records and year-end schedules
  • Payroll and WPS processing where required
  • Audit support pack where your licence requires an audit
  • A named accountant who knows your business

Who this is for

  • UAE companies of any size that want records kept properly rather than caught up
  • Companies with a corporate tax or VAT obligation
  • Free zone companies facing an audit requirement at renewal
  • Founders who want monthly numbers rather than an annual surprise

Who it is not for

We would rather say so now than three weeks in.

  • Anyone wanting figures presented differently from what the records show

Process

How it works

Each step says what we do and what we need from you, so nothing stalls on an unasked question.

  1. Onboarding

We take your current position — ledgers, statements, prior filings — and tell you honestly what state it is in.

  2. Setup

Chart of accounts, software and a monthly document routine that suits how you actually work.

  3. Monthly cycle

Transactions recorded, accounts reconciled, queries raised in one batch rather than daily.

  4. Reporting

Management accounts with commentary, so the numbers mean something.

  5. Tax and audit

The same ledger feeds VAT returns, the corporate tax computation and the audit pack.

  6. Review

A quarterly conversation about what the numbers are telling you.

Documents you will need

Gather these before we start and the process runs roughly a week faster.

  • Bank statements for all accounts
  • Sales invoices or system export
  • Purchase invoices and expense receipts
  • Payroll records and WPS files
  • Loan, lease and finance agreements
  • Prior-period trial balance and financial statements

How long it takes

Onboarding typically takes one to two weeks. After that the monthly cycle closes within the first two weeks of the following month, which leaves room to query anything before it matters.

What it costs

Quoted as a fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume and the number of accounts, agreed in writing before we start. The fee does not move because a month was busy — if volume changes structurally we re-quote openly rather than adding to an invoice.

What goes wrong

Common mistakes

These are the ones we are asked to unpick most often.

Treating bookkeeping as an annual task

A year reconstructed in one go costs more and produces worse numbers than twelve months done monthly.

Running personal and business transactions through one account

It is fixable, but every one of those transactions becomes a question later.

Reconciling to the statement balance but not the transactions

A matching closing balance can hide two errors that cancel out.

Not recording owner drawings and injections properly

These are the first items examined in an audit or a tax review.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Records supporting tax filings must be kept and produced on request, and many free zones require audited financial statements for renewal. Corporate tax made the accounting record the foundation of the return rather than an optional extra.

Yes, and it is straightforward. We take the trial balance and ledgers as they stand and tell you before we start whether anything needs correcting. There is no need to wait for a year end.

We work with the mainstream cloud platforms and can work in yours if you already have one. What matters is the discipline of the monthly close, not the logo on the login screen.

It is quoted on transaction volume and number of accounts, as a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing. A short call is enough for us to give you the number.

Yes, where you employ staff in the UAE. It is quoted alongside the bookkeeping so you see both figures before deciding.

That is the point of doing them properly. Where your licence requires an audit we produce the support pack from the same ledger, which is what keeps audit fees and audit friction down.
