Corporate bank account opening in the UAE

The step that decides when you can actually start trading. We prepare the application a bank can say yes to, introduce it, and stay with it until there is an answer.

  • Bank introduction
  • Realistic timelines

Verify Regulator-conferred credentials and a live Google review rating are the two highest-value additions to this strip. Neither is displayed until Aizaa supplies evidence.

The situation

Nobody can guarantee you a bank account, and you should distrust anyone who does

Account opening is a bank's own compliance decision. What a consultancy can do is make the application coherent, complete and consistent with the licence — which is the difference between a decision in weeks and a file that sits unanswered.

Most declines we are asked to rescue come down to three things: an activity description that does not match what the business actually does, a source-of-funds story that is not evidenced, and a shareholder profile the bank could not verify.

What Aizaa does

We prepare the application pack, align the activity description and business model narrative with the licence, evidence the source of funds properly, introduce the file to banks whose appetite matches your profile, and chase it to a decision. If a bank declines, we tell you why and what changes the answer.

Not sure where you stand? Ask us — a 15-minute call usually settles it.

What’s included

  • Review of licence, activity codes and shareholder profile from a banking perspective
  • Preparation of the business model narrative and source-of-funds evidence
  • Compilation of the complete application pack
  • Introduction to banks whose appetite fits your profile
  • Coordination of KYC, interviews and additional requests
  • Follow-through to a decision, and a debrief if it is a decline

Who this is for

  • Newly licensed UAE companies
  • Companies whose first application was declined
  • Foreign-owned structures with overseas shareholders
  • Companies changing banks

Who it is not for

We would rather say so now than three weeks in.

  • Anyone wanting a guaranteed outcome
  • Applications where the business model cannot be described accurately and evidenced

Process

How it works

Each step says what we do and what we need from you, so nothing stalls on an unasked question.

  1. Profile review

Licence, activity, shareholders, expected flows and counterparties.

  2. Pack preparation

Business description, source of funds, supporting contracts and identification.

  3. Bank selection

Matched to profile and activity rather than to whoever answers first.

  4. Introduction and submission

File submitted with the narrative the compliance team needs.

  5. KYC and interview

We prepare you for the questions and attend where useful.

  6. Decision and follow-up

Account opened, or a clear explanation and a revised approach.

Documents you will need

Gather these before we start and the process runs roughly a week faster.

  • Trade licence, memorandum and share certificates
  • Establishment card and, where issued, residence visas
  • Passport and Emirates ID copies for shareholders and signatories
  • Proof of residential address for each shareholder
  • CVs or professional profiles for shareholders
  • Business plan or activity description with expected turnover and counterparties
  • Existing bank statements — personal or from an overseas company
  • Contracts, invoices or letters of intent that evidence the trading story

How long it takes

Realistically, several weeks from a complete submission, and longer where shareholders are non-resident or the activity is one banks treat cautiously. Anyone promising days is describing an exception, not a process.

What it costs

Quoted as a fixed fee for preparation and introduction, disclosed in advance. We do not charge a success fee contingent on an outcome we do not control, and we do not take a fee to submit a file we do not believe is ready.

What goes wrong

Common mistakes

These are the ones we are asked to unpick most often.

An activity description that does not match reality

Compliance teams read the licence and the narrative side by side.

Unevidenced source of funds

The most common single reason a file stalls. It is solvable with preparation.

Applying to the wrong bank for the profile

Appetite varies by activity, nationality mix and expected flows.

Going quiet when the bank asks a question

Files close through inactivity more often than through refusal.

Why Aizaa

Four reasons you can check

We say no when a file is not ready

Submitting early wastes weeks and can prejudice a re-application.

Fixed fee, no success contingency

Because the outcome is the bank's decision, not ours.

We debrief declines honestly

You are told the reason and what would change it.

The licence was built with this in mind

When we also did your formation, activity codes were chosen with the bank in view.

Who handles this

Your named specialist

Assigned when your file opens

Every Aizaa engagement has one named person responsible for it. You get their direct line — not a shared inbox and not a ticket number. If they are away, you are told who is covering and when they are back.

Verify Photograph, credential and direct contact details to be supplied before this page is published. Nothing is asserted here that Aizaa has not confirmed.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

No, and neither can anyone else. The decision belongs to the bank's compliance function. What we can do is make the application complete, coherent and evidenced, and put it in front of a bank whose appetite matches your profile.

Several weeks from a complete submission is a realistic expectation, longer for non-resident shareholders or cautious activities.

Most banks require at least one in-person meeting with a signatory. We tell you in advance which bank requires what, so the trip is planned rather than improvised.

We find out the reason where the bank will share it, tell you plainly what it was, and advise whether a different bank, a revised narrative or a change to the licence is the right next step.

Yes. Some zones and activities attract more scrutiny than others, which is one of the factors we weigh when shortlisting a zone in the first place.
